rs turbo heads - help please
ive recently bought an s2 rs turbo and the previous owner changed the head due to the head gasket failing,
when the car is driven under hard acceleration the engine pinks, could it be that that the head he fitted is not from an rs turbo but a normal cvh engine.
are there any differences between the heads?
any help much apperciated

Run car until it's almost running on air then put £20 worth of Shell V power in it, or if you've got a BP station that sells it near you BP 102.
Then
Stop putting normal unleaded in it/you're running a performance car
it needs performance fuel.

As above, but Tesco 99ron is my fuel of choice! Either that or get it set up for poor old unleaded (wont really be right as these engines were designes in the days of 4 star!)

thanks for all i replies i will try it tonight with some proper petrol in it
i have tried to time the distributer up but it seems impossible as the timing lines will not match up? could this be caused by incorrect or non standard head / valves or cam being fitted
