i have currently got a pace charge cooler setup, would it be a good idea to swap for a pro alloy intercooler setup?
can someone explain the differences between the two of the products and which one is best to use and explain why?
Thanks in advance

charge coolers are ok for short burst's, but with prolonged hard driving the water which keeps the boost cool heats up quickly. it then takes a fair amount of time to cool down again.meaning the act's will then be quite high!
no such problems with a good front mount like a GRS

I've run a chargecooler for nine years and never had an issue, and my car is a summer only car being stored for the winter. Car pulls like a train all the time, even after and on a run.
If they were as shit as most on here seem to think ('cos most heard it on the internet so it must be true
) and no it's not a dig any anyone before all that shit starts either Pace would have gone bust years ago judging by the slagging everything they seem to make gets on here.

Well, I had a Pace Chargecooler around the time I had 180bhp. It was not great, so I modified it. I added a second radiator which was a high efficiency motorbike radiator and I piped it all to the boot, where I had a second tank that held about 10 litres (the standard Pace system is around 3 litres from memory), so mine held LOTS more fluid. It still wasn't good at the boost I was running.
Upon removing it and fitting a GRS Intercooler, the difference was like night and day.

I 100% agree with what Christian says on this
I had a Pace chargecooler, i thought coz it cost £530 it must be good, WRONG
I got another Pace radiator fitted to it, so it had 2 water radiators the same size, did it help
75 deg ACT's
You can see the second radidtor in this pic, one top and bottom

I took it off and sold it then got a custom made intercooler made, it was the best move i ever made.

Never seen ACT's above 30 deg with the new cooler.
Its not a case of me using high boost coz its not been above 16.4 psi

Bets thing I did on my Fiesta was bin the chargecooler, I've stuck a small Escort RST Pace intercooler on as a temp fix and the car seems a lot stronger on boost than with the chargecooler and the ACT's so far seem no different. We now have to Pace charge coolers in the loft as my brother never even bothered fitting his in the end and fitted a GRS instead
