Default MFi to EFi

I'm rebuilding my S1 rst and want to get rid of the old tired mfi so what would everyone do, efi with cossie managment or efi with aftermarket managment or different alltogether? I aint got mass of money either so cheaper to start but something I can build on over the next couple of years. And also what parts would i need to fit to my engine. cheers
