Which air filter is better on a series 2 K&N induction kit or a K&N panel filter??

I've got a K&N cone. I like it and I like the sound of the air rushing in when you stamp on the loud pedal

I have tryed to dyno test the 3 and i got most power whit the standard one

but if you are going for the gay sound use the cone one....

Ive got a pipercross panel filter in the standard airbox.

Works for me

I used to have a K&N cone, but when i changed back to the std airbox i noticed no difference whatsoever apart from the induction sound...

Standard air box with k&n panle filter All cone filters do is suck in HOT air from the engine bay which aint good

Drilled airboxes are a good idea aswell

K&N cone on mine, i have tried pipercross and standard drilled airbox but went back to K&N used with a heatshield

Standard box with K+N panel filter, i've opened the hole on the front aswell to aid airflow
tbh though performance wise i don't think it makes a huge difference.

Thanks for the reply's only a mate has offered me his K&N cone filter and wasnt sure weather to have it or not.

Think i will stick with the K&N panel filter

you'd be surprised ! Ive saw 15bhp differences between std and cone filter.

cut the front off the airbox where the small opening circle is, opens it right up so better airflow.

Whats point in drilling holes all over it, might aswell fit a cone as its still gonna suck in hot air from around it!
