Default heat wrap

right what have people heat wrapped, i know the manifold can crack if you wrap it but what about the exhaust side of the turbo?

On my old s2 i heat wrapped the exhaust manifold,the exhaust side of the turbo and the downpipe down past the block.

yeh im doing the exhaust until it leaves the bay, may do other bits as well.

hard one this. I would love to wrap the manifold, zorst housing and downpipe. Would make things much easier to work on in engine bay, and reduce under bonnet and coolant temps. For moderate boost and power levels i think this is a viable option. But when ur running huge power and boost, u need to get the heat out as quickly as possible to prevent valve failure etc

my inlet pipe's, starter and wiring are wrapped with reflective

whered you get the reflective stuff rick?

Im plannin on jus wrappin my downpipe, need some wire heat wrap stuff for my starter wiring too!

dont use reflective on ur downpipe. the reflective is designed to keep heat out - the normal wrap is for keeping heat in

Rick, I meant to say i'd use it on my starter (if it ever started to play up)

Normal heat wrap on the d.pipe
