Default advice on tunning escort rs turbo

hello

well pretty much as title suggests just want a bit of advice on tuning one thats totally standard .... but at the min i dont wanna spend mega money so whats the options out there ???

Start with stainless exhaust, original drilled airbox with K&N panel filter, Chip the ECU and run a little more boost.

Should see you to around 180hp at the fly

A chip and a new cam would be a winner based on most cams are destroyed in CVH's

lol i had this spec on my last car but i think the cam wasnt too good

exhaust
grs (1) intercooler
piper 285t2 cam
filter
-31
evo chip


but it wasnt that quick ..well no it was but i think it could have been quicker as rthe cam didnt really do anything tbh
so i dont wanna use that cam again ..it might have been my car or set up so im not saying anything bad about piper /......im gonna stop digging now lol

Piper T2's are horrific on 1.6's.. They're just about tolerable on 1.9+'s

Unless going clear over 200hp don't change from the ford cam IMO, as said especially not for a piper wouldn't use that as a paperweight lol

Seconded

I would put a decent exhaust on and then sort the brakes and suspension. Power means nothing if it can't be harenessed. If it's completely stock chances are the suspension will be shagged

A Kent CVH34 is a fantastic cam, even on a standard car..
