Central locking mota
Silly question proberly
my central locking motor packed up got a new one but when i connect it up it just keeps moveing backwards and forwards untili take the power of what am i doing wrong

also ive found that the door locks might be stiff if the motor gets any resistance it will keep doing that what u said opening and trying to lock then opening again
give all the locks a good squirt of wd40 both inside and outside of the door !

i have just had the same problem with mine, i bought a new motor from ford for £49.50 and it still kept doing it, sent the thing back, i lubricated all the motors and linkages but it still kept locking and unlocking, odds on it is the jumper cable that goes down the nearside tailgate that runs the tailgate central locking, the locks switch negative so if the is a break feeding the rear lock it will lock and unlock, just undo the 3 wires to the rear lock to see if this works, it has taken me a week to sort out mine, ask safechav on any electrical faults, should be on mastermind
