BIG PROBS NEED HELP ASAP!!!!!
hi there people hows it all goin well been to the classic ford show today at santa pod it was fantastic there were few cars that did the 1/4 mile under 10 secs the quickiest was 6.67sec i think top speed 250mph very fast it was a jet powered thing.
anyway my problem ok i have a s2 rst g reg it was lowerd by 45mm on 17's and it rubbed on the back right wheel for some reason it sits about half inch lower that side so i thought the spring must be fooked so i got some new 30mm cobras and some 16's and its still sitting lower on that right side and rubbing more coz theres more play in the springs i have koni shocks on the front but standard on rear do you think some uprated shocks on the rear will cue this as its really begining to pi*s me off and the missus too or is there any other explantion on why it sits lower on that side.
cheers

norfolk eh
look at the wishbones and top spring cups, if the springs are matched then it has to be what they are fitted to
the prob that immediatly springs to mind it big time rot in the chassis rail and the top cup is well out but you'd have noticed i would think

well theres no rot under there it was inspected when the springs were fitted on saturday, so you dont thin its got anythin to do with the shocks? im trying to find some companies to ring about see what they say any ideas who might be worth giving a ring cheers for the replies though it helped keep them coming in though im tryin to get it sorted for the ford fair this year.

shocks wont make any odds, you could leave em out really (to test the theory) as they are seperate units so its only the springs that determine height unless sumthin the mount agains is out, dont think a wish bone could be mounted wrong or nuffin tho, take teh wheel off and get a few snaps and post em up
unless you left out the rubber bit off the top of the spring on 1 side but again you would most likerly have noticed
