Default Engine Refitting?????

Need to put my engine back in my S2, can it be put in from underneath or do I need to hire a hoist?

Cheers

It can be put in from underneath but i think you need to put the gearbox/mounts in at the same time ie.drop the box out.might be wrong but thats the only way ive seen it done. Why not drop it in?its not too hard.I did mine on my own without the head on of course.F**kin killed my back for three days though.

in from the top is the way to go, tilt the box up (jack under the bell housing) to aid slipping it on, quick and easy if u have a couple of mates, best off makin sure everythin i out of the way, cables and that, save a lot of swearing and time lifting

well its not easy mate ive been taking head and alternator of made some brackets so i can fix to block using the head bolts put some rope around it and lift it over front panel, when i lower it down i lower it on to a jack then finish the rest of like that. yes on my bare back. remember ive done 8 this way and the more you do it the easy it gets .
