How many of you have used pattern panels on your MK3 escorts? I'm debating whether to replace my wings, if pattern ones are going to fit really crap though i would rather leave them.
Also considering the cross member and front panel. If anyone has used pattern panels can you let me know how well they fitted and what make they were?
CheeRS in advance

In fact the ONLY panels mine has had are 1 front wing, as the old one had holes drilled in it for pull cables, the lower half of a front slam panel and the front x member box section I just changed that for fun as I needed to fully seam weld up a new one.
Part of the floor has had a stronger straight panel put in as the standard one flex too easily.
All fitted first time with not much hassle TBH

Do the wings fit well then? What was the cross member like aswell?
Ive heard Ford panels are proper thin and flimzy but you know they fit perfect if you manage to weld them without warping them

You think Im worried about fit
But they did actually yes
Even the x-member.

I joined the front panel in behind the head lights as it didn't need the full panel fitting.

My mate had one once
Left me the keys when he went on holiday so I got an old bootlid off another and fitted two bath taps on it facing inwards
Made the locals smile for a week
I put it back to normal before he got home and he never knew

read it again.... it says your Karp
BTW, quite a few members of Pf have already driven it round at trackdays etc so you never know
They just ask for passenger rides and end up driving it as I get very bored going round in circles on tracks
Perhaps I am a bit out of date then.
I would have said to stick with genuine ford where you can. The only experience I've had with fitting panels my self was a genuine ford wing to my mk2 mondeo (went on no problems) and a non genuine ST24 front bumper (a lot more difficult to fit)
