Default brake grinding

when i break from high speeds i get a grinding noise, the disks are grooved are they meant to sound like this or do i have a problem i need to have investigated?? btw the car is an s2

If pads have meat on them,it must be the grooves on the disc's making the noise so.Cant think what the hell else it could be.Regards Mickjy

You should'nt be geting a grinding noise mate ive got drilled and grooved discs on mine and i dont get any grinding noise sound's like you need new pads or theres something stuck in the disc
