Default Fuel Metering Unit

Hi all,

Can't seem to get my car started. Sparks there but when I undo one of the injectors there wasn't any fuel coming out when I turned it over. Adjusted the fuel metering unit until fuel came out of the injectors. Is this right as when i first put the metering unit on the car ran fine. Obviousl I need fuel there for the car to run but I just need to know if I have done the right thing.

Mobile tuner came out last week and said it was the fuel Metering unit that was playing up so I replaced it with a known good one.

Any help on this would be appreciated as I am spending every spare minute trying to get my car running right.

Cheers
Dave

Where did you undo the injectors from.was it pipe/injector or pipe/Fm unit.If you undo the pipe from the fuel meet unit you should get some fuel out if you crank it.Be careful though. Is your pump working ok.When you turn the ignition on is it whirring and then stopping?lets know m8.I aint an expert but I had probs like that and my m8 sorted it out for me.I will try and remember.

I took the pipe off the injector side. When I crank the engine it now chucks fuel out. Just need to know if it should do that when the pipe is off. Pump works fine. Fuel going to the metering head but can't seem to get the car to run right and at the minute it won't run at all. My mates got a S2 so i'm gonna take the ECU's n stuff off mine and try it on his. I think it might be the fuel ECU playing silly buggers.

Its up and running done and dusted. Tried them on my mates and it worked straight away. Brought it home and put it on mine fired straight into life. I've had them off over night so they must of just needed resetting.

Thanks for all the help and advice.

Cheers
