hi there, youve got a few options for a 1.9..........theres specialised engines http://www.specialisedengines.co.uk/ , youve got euro engines, not sure if they have a website though and also jamsport do a 1.9 conversion http://www.jam-sport.co.uk/. they all have their own ways of achieving the 1.9 engine.

ive got a specialised engines item and they use the american tall block, it does the job for me. ive used jamsport for my management and im happy with that and i know jamie normally has some engines partly built too so a fast turn around could be possible. ive never used euro engines but i have spoken to them on the phone at some lenght ref rebuilds etc and they seem to know their stuff and ive also read some good stuff about them on this site. best thing to do would be ring around to discuss your needs and budget mate then go from there. no doubt there are other companies also that do a 1.9 and others on here could probably point you in the right direction .

specialised actually import the engines from the usa, i was on the phone to em the other day and i asked him the same question ref the sierra 1.8 and he confirmed they use the american tall block and not the sierra 1800. im pretty sure theyre the only ones that actually import and use the tall block too due to having an import license, other companies get the capacity other ways i think. im very happy with my tall block, nothing i can fault it on mate !!!! .
