Could anyone please tell me where the knock sensor is on my SMALL turbo escoss as i have been told it isnt in the same place as the large turbo escoss

the LT place is on the OS of the block, in the centre, where it joins the sump

Hello, and thanks for your question.

You can look and look all over for your knock sensor, but never find it!

For some reason (presumably due to the EECIV management system), the Small Turbo Escort Cosworth does not have a knock sensor!

No as I said thats on the LT (Large Turbo)

If GGR say that then they are probably right

 

GGR are correct, the ecu has the code to use a knock sensor but for some reason Ford didn't see fit to put one on (my guess would be that they have been very conservative with the spark timing and hence you don't need it).
