Default ESCOS Inlet manifold and plenum

I'm in the process of upgrding my small turbo escort cos. Looking to go 400 bhp+ and so whole bottom end is getting balanced lightened. Top end, head is getting ported, new cams steel gasket etc. T38 turbo, 2 wd exhaust manifold but undecided on inlet manifold.
Can't decide if to go 8 injectors or stay with 4. Having read through the archives it appears that I already have the best plenum (EECIV small turbo) but what about the manifold. If I go for 8 injectors what would all you experts recommend. I know Graham Goode etc sell them but who sells the best. I also have a 15mm plenum spacer I bought ages ago but never fitted, intended to fit this now as well. So what is the "experts" rcommendation as to what use, a WRC inlet and EECIV plenum ? or another combination.
What combination if I stay 4 injectors ?
The pistons are getting pockets machined into them so that I can put even hairer cams and go for more power again if required. I therefore want to get the best inlet system now so that if required its there.
Car already has a RS500 style intercooler so that's no problem.
Any help will be appreciated.

after market ECU and four big injectors. 8 injectors is old fashioned

if your after 400+ i would think about uprating the transmission too

If I went 8 injectors I would use the WRC Siamese setup

IMO for 450Brake (ON P8 at least) you need 8 injectors with a T38 Though dont quote me

this is wht i said go after market ecu, if you want greys you need to do a full big turbo conversion. if you we're to go the aftermarket ecu route you'd only the ecu, wiring loom. oh and someone to fit it all

yeah diffinately cheaper but matey did say something about have the better small turbo inlet. so the best thing would be after market ecu.

i had the same problem when A1 converted mine. but in the end converting to p8 worked out really cheap. in comparision to autonic (or what ever u call it )

Thanks for the suggestions so far, I maybe should have stated that I've already accepted that an aftermarket ECU will have to be fitted. What I'm undecided over is advantages of 8 over 4 injectors or 4 over 8. The poeple doing the work told me they can achieve the same power with both, but 8 will be more economical to run when not booting it. As I also stated the engine is getting built so that it can get further upgraded if required. I would rather get the best now so that this can be done without to much work/new parts.
So what do you think ?, I was led to believe it was the EECIV plenum that was the best to use, and that the inlet manifolds were all the same. Is this correct ?. Are there any better inlet manifolds than others ?, whose would you recommend to buy ?.
Engine is out of the car at engine builders at the moment, the head will be sent away after the holidays and I hope to get it all back running end of Jan beggining of Feb. I will post the figures when I have the car back.

RSdene, thought about the transmission, but at the moment this is costing enough as it is. The car will have a 4 boost setting so that I can trottle it back when pulling away to try and save it, I thought about trying to do this automatically so that it had low boost in 1st and 2nd but the engine builder didn't think he could do it.

EECIV plenum cover /elbow is the better type, unless you going BIGGER than 480-490 Brake... then RS 500

But as I say if you go 8 inj, go WRC siamese IMO
