Bloody electrics!
The n/s side light isn't working, changed the bulb no luck, got the multimeter out and tested the bulb ok and also tried the bulb on the other side was and it was ok.. so its not the bulb.
Tried the multi meter on the working side and and got a solid 12.8V tried the faulty side and it was a around 5v ish but was slightly flutuating and the bulb wasn't lighting at all. Traced the wiring back into the main loom and had no breaks etc and tested the voltage again from the wiring behind the connector and same 5V. So its not the connector either.
Whats to next to try?? would it be a case of checking wiring at fuse box end? any suggestions please

Try checkin the earth. Both sides might have individual earths but im not sure. that might explain why you've only got 5v.
I had a problem on my indicators and it turned out to be the earth
Dont quote me tho im not that good at electrics

not read it all, but I reckon its the white 3 pin plug behind the headlight... one or more of the terminals are corroded, needs cleaning up , try spraying it up the pushing and pulling it on/off, while the lights are on...

Just fixed it wahooo
Old twisty has been up to his tricks again
I cleaned up all the grounds checked all the voltages and nothing.. got fooked off and took the headlight out to have a closer look at things and unraveled the tape back to the main loom and the same bastido that wired up the Amp in the car had been up to his old tricks again and stripped the wires back and just twisted them together and put black tape over them one wire had completly coroded away the other was green with corosion I guessing this may have been done when the Morettes had been replaced with standard lights again.
Anyway crimped new connectors up taped it to death and it all working fine
