hi really stuck my cossie is playing me,its happend 8 or nine times know at first i thought it was me but im sure it the dash in the left hand corner iv been seeing a red light that flashes really fast so fast i can only catch it if i wait long enough for it more noticable at night,is this major or a fault along the line my cossie running fine overall help.

Turn IGN on it will light up so you will have a better idea of what it is

Battery light - could be fan belt / alternator / battery etc....
As Damo says find out what the light is first!

yeah brake fluid low as Dave suggests that would be favourite, pull the handbrake up see if the same light comes on

have checked the brake fluid and is on the max still havent found what it its yet but it the light near the petrol gauge any other ideas??????????????????????????????al the best barry
