tried another set of speedo clocks today just to make sure they work ok,plugged them in and they lit up for a few seconds,started to fade and then went out,tried my orig ones and they dont light up either now,any ideas,cant be the inverter as neither set work,all front/rear lamps work ok, heater controls work ok, so cant be the switch,could the dimmer thing have packed up?

 

Its not uncommon for the dimmer to pack up... I take it you have checked you have exterior lights?? and you have connected the clocks back up properly..

 

i tested the dimmer today and it works perfectly,checked for live at lamps and that was fine also,plugged the lights back in and they work as well! and the other set works now too, weird or what? ive refitted them all now and everythings fine
