Default quick question

been asked by an shop if they could use my car as a demo car and put a nice system in it for free, system whould not be massive but still cost about 5k fully installed, have all mod cons and it whould be used to show off what they can do for this price range. i will lose most of me boot which is a pisser as i need it for tent and bits for shows, and it allso means they can use the car to show off there install at all there shows next year ( dont know how many yet and which ones) also be featured in most of the ice car mags aswell. at the end of it all i can keep the complete system but whould have to pay for the head unit dont know why but that the deal

What would you do ???? they want the car for 4 weeks starting middle of jan and i need to make my mind up quick ( wants to know by end of this week )as iam first on the list but they do have other cars in the pipe line

tbh i wouldn't bother mate i plan to have a relativly ok system i have a pioneer head unit,cd changer and amp and sub goin in mine prob a few speakers too, you don't need anymore than that imo, but others would disagree i like somthing that sounds good but not ott and lose all your space, plus you'd be without your car and be forced to go places......

i'd rather just fit my own system and do wot i wanted.....

just my opinion...

I wouldn't do it m8.

Do you need to be at those shows aswell or do they take your car to it?
Either way, you'll be gone from home alot and those shows might be across UK or even further.

And on ICE shows, the people will stand really really close to the car so scratches on the paintwork will most likely occur.

think i would have to agree with the general matey,
mine was a sound off / show car for the first 5/6 years of its life & although it has an interior you will never see anywhere else i want to put it back to standard now & cant find standard doors cards & rear quarters anywhere - so much so that i'm considering buying a wanky escos replica to swap interiors with
the other thing to think about is the quality of the installl, mine was done by prestige audio & is very very posh but after the years of driving & the quite hard suspension is starting to rattle a bit - needs the fittings re-newing

i do love the look & sound of the install & the interior is a defo 1 off gets lots of admiration but i'm buggered now i want it back to standard

the choice is yours - i would want paying for the use of it & the head unit free

It's not a bad thing, BUT if you've gotta pay for the head unit, just mind what they install... could, and most likely would, be a top notch multimedia DVD jobbie... could cost ya as much as £1500.

+ it'll slow the beast down!
