I've a fault with my escort cosworth, p8 ecu.
The ecu went into limp home mode with a forced misfire at 4k rpm. Replace various sensors and finally traced it down to a phase sensor, replaced with a known good sensor....
Car returned to normal with no issues and returned to full power.
250 miles later the same issue has returned. I'm going to replace the phase sensor again but just curious as to whether there is anything I should be checking which would cause repeated phase sensor failure?

 

Could be just bad luck. But id check the multiplugs by the coil and clean them.
If you still have them that is.
