escort cosworth T25 EECIV rebuild to T35 weber-marelli vers

Default escort cosworth T25 EECIV rebuild to T35 weber-marelli vers

I own a escorth Cosworth (june 1994) EECIV T25 (latest version, with silver head)
I want to rebuild it to a previeus version with Weber-Marelli engine management And I can use some help with this.

I bought a complete 4wd-sierra engine block (green head)
Now, I have some questions;

1- The sierra cilinder head, does it fit on my EECIV engine block?
2- For the previeus versions there are hi-pressure oil pumps (or high flow kits), do they also excist for the EECIV block or does the old ones fit. (because I want a better oil pump)
3- I want to reach 350 bhp. Is this still possible with green injectors (308inj) or do I need blue ones (400inj)
4- sierra 4wd engine loom its this the same a escort T35 loom ??
5- L8 ecu better as co screww allows adjustments to the fuelling to be made if required,no co screw on p8 ecu.
6- and is 350 bhp posible whit e standard block?? (piston, crank ) ??
7- max bhp for e standard transmission

1) you already have the best cosworth engine in the eec4 version, better flowing and better oil ways
2) dont know bout this
3) You can get more than 350BHP using dark green 803's.
4) you just need you loom modifying or have pectel fitted.
5) because P8 is more advanced and controls all this for you if its mapped correctly
6) yes
7) you can run up to 400 BHP if you dont do any launches, 350BHP will not destroy the transmission.

that is my understanding......i have converted my car from t25 to GT28.60 large turbo 400BHP

Not do any launches, you cant possibly not do this, your jus sitting at the lights an an Evo FQ340 pulls up beside you, man you would be a pussy not to launch!!! KEEP ER LIT!!! lol

scott, you say that you can have your loom modded, or upgrade to pectel, not sure what pectel is mate, any ideas??

Is it worth converting the small turbo to a large turbo model. I mean will it de-value the car in anyway? Would it not be better just to sell my cosworth and buy a big turbo model?

1&2 Use the engine you have, for the reasons explained. The ignition setup is different in T25 models, but you can survive by mixing and matchin the marelli loom with your EEC-IV one. Sierra oil pumps are not compatible with T25 block.
3- Don't know about the colors, but the so-called blue ones will do ok(350cc). I would bet one the safe side and go for the 400cc ones. Remember the Magenti-Marelli runs low impedance injectors and EEC-IV high impedance ones.
4- No, but close enough(see 1&2) ??
5- P8 is with closed loop lambda, and hence doesn't need CO-adjust.
6- Here in Finland they have took well over 400hp with std parts. Need careful balancing and good quality bolts.
7- Around 350 is the practical limit. ( Wolf Concept 300bhp... )

BTW, if you do the conversion, I'm interested of buying the EEC-IV leftovers. Send me a PM.
