Default Sloppy gearstick, not returning to neutral

Small turbo escos, gearstick dosent spring back into neutral, will jsut sit to one side of the other, like a right donkeys cock lol

wondering do these have a spring on the similar to the ones that always snap on focus' i know its a completely different car, but they may share a similar design

Cheers Gaz

Yes they do. Makes it a right pig to drive.

Had it happen to me

Unfortunately you have to remove the gearbox to sort it

It turned out to be the selector in the box that was stopping it going back to neutral.

New box time

theres a spring on the selector inside the box when it breaks it flops around ,you can change gear normally but when you want to change gear quickly ,i.e. drag racing all you get is a box full of neutrals as in cant find any gears its a cheap fix though cost me £50
