Default Pistons?

Hi!
I am currently re-building my damaged ST-engine and was wondering what would people recommend for pistons? Have been looking Wössners, Acralites and JE-pistons. Have heard that Wisecos are not recommended, due to poor quality in tolerance lately? Is it really so? The block will be bored to the first oversize and the compression ratio will be standard. Not sure about the cams yet, but the pistons should be that kind that there is possibility to cut valve pockets in them. If needed. The power we are after will be aprox 400bhp. So What do people recommend? Any good or bad experiences on the subject.
Cheers, Risto

Hello, I have just re-built an engine with acralites and thought the quality of the pistons was really good.
I've seen wossener pistons and think they are poor quality, I don't like the look off the oversprayed teflon on the skirts.
But thats just my opinion.
I have used 7.2:1 low comp pistons with valve cut outs. I will be looking for 400-450 bhp

I have used Wossner in a good few 400 bhp engine's for track, and never had a problem.

I would use CP pistons or Mahle this is also depending on HP, Mahle are deff the best sub 500hp.

Cheers m8s and thanks for the answers. I´ll be visiting the autosport international on January in Birmingham. So have to keep my eyes open on the piston counters. Merry Christmast everyone!
