so the focus ST was 22 grand new? so for 3 grand more, what makes some people think that there gonna get an uprated volvo 300 and something bhp, V6 engine with 4 wheel drive, and a bad boy WRC bodykit
they LOST 7 grand on every focus rs, and what did you get for that? quaife diff, ap clutch, recaro seats, oz wheels, brembos?
looks like the new ones gonna be an uprated focus ST engine, 280bhp with quaife diff im afraid
.....saying that ive just put a 200 quid deposit on one just in case

They'll have to just swallow it & take a loss on 'em - the idea is to boost the marque's image & thus the cash should come from the marketing budget.
However another soft-boiled RS isn't going to make people wander into the showroom & look at Mondeos IMO.
Stick 280 bhp & front drive in 1 of those new 2-door Fiestas with the Star Trek new geneartion dash boards, ok, why not? But not in a Focus & certainly not 1 that'll allow the likes of Top Gear to prove, again, how much faster a 12 to 15 year old Escort is.
Either they go the whole hog or just leave it well alone.
