Default AP 6600 calipers

Hello,

I've been offered a set of brand new AP CP6605-8SO brakecalipers. These came standard on a Renault Clio V6. I'm very interested in these calipers as i really need more brakingpower and these calipers can come cheap.

Can i make these calipers fit and if it can be done what disks will i need?
Can these calipers be made to fit the standard 16" wheels? The maximum discdiameter is 330mm but will these calipers go with 304 disc's (in order to stick with standard wheels)?

The caliper datasheet can be found here:

http://www.apracing.com/roadcar/drawings/cp6600_1cd.pdf

Thank's,

Mark

Forgot to mention that the Clio V6 has the calipers in front of the axle and the Escos behind the axle.....

Firstly you will need to mount them up to see if you have sufficient room to use a bracket to position them to suit the disc you have, as they are lug mount type (same as the OE ones) and make a bracket out of wood as a template to position them correctly. Once you have done this, and you're happy with the wooden bracket, you can get any machine shop to make you one out of steel or alloy (which-ever is suitable for strength reasons). Next you will have to swap the callipers over from leading to trailing. This will involve swapping the bridge pipe from the bottom to the top, so that when you rotate the calliper to a trailing position, this is back at the bottom.

FYI, the CP6600 calliper is designed to suit a 330x30mm disc, so you may find sourcing a smaller one a problem due to the width required, as AP do not list a 30mm disc in 300, 304 or 310 sizes.
