Is the black stuff on the rear inner arch a protector or is it just raod grime ??

I had a little clean and the car's colour came through so i was thinking of cleaning them right up only i'm not sure if i will be taking off an underseal.

Any thoughts on this

 

looks like a protector or seal to me, seems to clean and even to be anything else

 

its a protector mate its on my car too and its on the front behind the arch liners aswell

 

So can i take it off then ?????

The car only gets used in the summer

why would anyone want to underseal a wing liner??????-its PLASTIC!!!!

its the same stuff they sprayed the underneath with mate, it will clean up nice

 

Looks like Waxoyl under seal. I've done the complete underside & both front & rear wheel arches (Behind the front Arch liners).

For those who wonder why do the front, just remove the liners & you'll see the crap that collects behind there from the drain holes under the bonnet & chucked up from the road.It was the same behind the side skirts.

 

i did mine black again as they looked odd body colour,looked like bad overspray without any lacquer

 

mine looks like that altho when my car gets the undersde dne in the next few months will be different
