0.55 Garrett exhaust housing? cross post sorry!
Think this may be more relevant to this forum?
I've come in to a lot of spares with my car - some of which I'm told are very rare, this being the rarest.
It's a .55 Garrett exhaust housing which I'm told was known as the 'cheat' turbo on the rally cars cos .55 wasn't homolgated.
I'm led to believe Garrett cast only about 50 of these - it does not have the size cast into it - for obvious reasons I guess!
Anyone confirm this? the one I have is new unused.
Also have new boxed maram shaft which I'm told is the dogs danglies for abusive turbo use. Plus a set of devilibar (not sure of spelling) head bolts (already have a set on the car). These I'm told are way better than ARP as the metal used has same expansion rate as aluminium hence they don't 'bite' into the cylinder head when the head expands faster than the bolts.
And there's more - super light cosworth pistons - I'm told these are are good for over 10K rpm - whatever they go to the heads on them are very small! Anyone any ideas?
Would appreciate any info on this stuff - specialist cosworth info is getting hard to find on the net, really couldn't find anything. Cheers
