for my current 1 and i'm 23 now.
insurance wasn't a problem as long as i had the security the insurance company wanted fitted.
it's well worth the cash in my opinion.

im 36, had an RS2000 at 20 a mk2 mexico after that a S1 turbo after that a saff cossie 2wd for 7 years after that and the escort i've got now for 2 and a half years....

I'm 29, got the car when I was 24. Started @ 17 with a Mk 1 turbo'd fiesta, Mk 2 turbo'd fiesta, a series 1, then series 2, and finally built a RST Cabby. Ford all the way its been. With my Escort it's been 5 1/2 yrs, probably too many ££££'s than I should of spent, but so so much fun, and can't see myself selling it.

im 30 now...had the escort for 2 years.two cosworths before that...one sapphire..and then a 3dr...and now the escort.first cosworth when i was 22.i payed 2100pounds on innsurance..now i pay 1000pounds.heh.

23 years old, had this one for about 6 months now, sold my imperial blue escos and saff to fund this one, insurance was around £1163 fully comp. Not insured this one yet as it is still in the garage, looking in a sorry state!

im 32 this month and owned mine now for 7yrs but its a bit like triggers broom, 3rd engine 2nd gearbox but its still the same car 
Monster is an old git as he cant drive his car anymore just polish it! hes got the tweed jacket with leather patches on the elbows, pipe, driving gloves and box of tissues on the back shelf!

44 had the car six years the older the better, ins on me saff is just over £200 tpft, laugh me cock off when me kids have to pay £1700 quid for there clios and saxos ..............
