This has turned into the most Gayest thread i have ever seen
Mike i must say it just looks like yours was fitted by someone who needed to go spec savers
Maybe its the fact you have had your car resprayed X amount of times and the body shop fitted it back on wonkey
And Paul you are more Anal about Escos than any other person i have ever met!
And Jayson your just a HOMO!!!

I've got a 1995 ST EsCos.
It never had any damage, and never been resprayed.
But my spoiler does fit very well
And, all the tailhood's from the Escort Cosworth's are the same??? Just the same as an MK5 Escort, apart from some other badges and a big spoiler

if you look inside the cossie tailgate you will notice it has a flat area for the bolts to go thru to hold the supports of the upper spoiler, normal MK5 escort tailgates are rounded there

Didn`t realise this had gone on so long...
THEY ARE DIFFERENT !!!!!!!!!!
Took me a while to find out but a fairly simple explanation.......
Ford changed suppliers around the end of LT production run for some indeterminate reason(Poss supplier went into liquidation) my mole can`t find out for sure......The new supplier obviously had to make new production moulds which had slightly different tolerances, and the material spec of the internal stiffener and the filling foam was also changed to try and alleviate the problem of moisture ingress causing the stiffener corrosion which led to the fibreglass bubbling.....
The top spoilers also underwent a similar process,no external changes where visible but the bottom of the centre leg was internally redesigned to reduce the cracking problem they had when people slammed the bootlid....
No finis codes were changed, they all remained as originally allocated.....
Fook Me......I really need to get out more....

So there is no difference between ST/BT as some ST don't have the problem either.
Basically some have poor fitting spoilers from a bad batch or remade ones sometime during the ST model production
BTW mine has no bubbles either

Don`t forget, the Escos only had an entire production life of 4 years so it took a couple of years for the bubbles to develop and prove to be a problem....
