AP 4 Paddle Clutch
i currently have a ash black ST escos
at the moment its stage 1, and the clutch hasnt got much life left
very soon it will be going to msd for a 295 chip etc
will the ap 4 paddle clutch be to extreme for my car
i have already bought the clutch and have been told by a few people, that with my power i wont need it, plus it'll be a real bastard to use
all feedback appreciated
also anyone know what a 295bhp ST escos is like compared to a stage 3 saph
thanks

I would say its not the best choice, if you do want to go for an uprated clutch got for a 6 padle with standard cover. Im running a ap 6 with uprated cover but it is prity heavy to use.

you will be lucky to see 8000 miles out of it with a Std pedal set up, and yes it will be heavy and you risk snapping cables and clutch quadrants with it as it is. It is not too bad to use, but it's very on/off and you need to give it a fair few more revs than normal as you get no damping effect from it.
Can you not get a refund on it or swap it for a 6 paddle? Also, at that power i have heard of people using a 6 paddle clutch and a std coverplate, so you get the extra bit needed but without the heavy pedal .
One option you should consider is Reylands side push hydraulic conversion, think it's about £360, but you get a real nice fairly-light-but-still-with feel-pedal, and you never have to fuck around with broken clutch cables, and according to Mike R, probably double your clutch life due to it not dragging when you press the pedal down
A 295 small turbo will be a fantastic road car, should hold it's own up to a ton easily, oviously on long A roads etc the more power will catch it and pass it, but round the lanes and general driving it will be really punchy and have torque everywhere
