Doug,

Is that to use as well as gaskets? I wouldnt (IMO Only) bother putting on the inlet plenum or manifold....

I only used a dab of gasket sealent (hypoglomar (spl)) on the half moons, then fitted cometic rocker cover, inlet plenum gaskets.

Only place a gasket sealent has been used on my engine is on the sump.

I put LOCTITE 5910, all the way around the half moons, and corners of sump wedges, then on both sides of sump gasket, all of these are pressured.
I would not use it on the inlet stuff as COMETIC new foam stuff is ace.
I have used it on the inlet stuff myself, with no problems, as well as water pump, and everything where petrol is not involved.
It is difficult to get but if you phone LOCTITE up on 01442 278100, they can tell you your nearest stockist, it makes HYLOMAR look about as good as a chocolate fireguard!!

ps I have used it INSTEAD OF SUMP GASKETS on old cars where none exist anymore, I have to lever the sump off when removing them and then spend ages straightening them!!
