Just been reading the Escos brochure and noticed that there was an option of heated seats!! Is this correct and how many of you have this option on your car?
Also anyone got any ideas if you can install it into a car without it?

 

I've heard this too but i've never seen 1 with them fitted

some people use the heated seat part from a granada cosworth.

 

Probably a Scandinavian special...

My friends Sierra Cosworth has these, as it was sold new in Norway. But most of the ones here are imported.... Just a few were sold new here due to silly prices.

who would know for definate if it was a true optional extra, as I quite fancy putting it in my car, but would only do it if you could have had it from new.

Are the granada cosworth parts easy to fit, adn can you still get them?

 

you still see them in the scrapyards, as far as i know its just a heated pad that goes under the seat foam, then its just a case of wiring it to a switch/relay etc

 

my 92 escort cosworth has heated recaro chairs
it was a optional extra fitted to my car by the owner
of the ford dealer in germany.
just looked in my owners manual in german and
it shows the heated seats.
nothing beats a warm bum on a frosty morning
