How many & in which colours?
As above really, have been browsing the classifieds etc at Escort Cossie's and there seems to be a real lack of Pacifica Blue ones for sale now!?
Seems to be loads of Mallard Green ones about and the usual abundance of red & white ones?
Was just wondering what other colours they came in and how many were made of each colour, any way of finding this out? Cheers.

Mallard Green, Radiant Red, Diamond White, Solid black(Rare), ash black, Aubergine(rare), Moondust silver(rocking horse shit), Imperial Blue, Pacifica Blue, Petrol Blue and Auralis blue(rare), Jewel Violet, Polaris grey.
I'm sure theres one more but i cant for the life of me think what it is
Nobody really knows how many were made in each colour, depends on how much paint was in the paintshop at Ford when they were being painted probably. lol.

I've got a picture on my phone of a Moondust Silver Escos from the Bristol & Swindon day at Castle Combe the other day, I didin't know if it was factory or not, but it looked bloody good!
Whats the difference between Pacifica Blue & Petrol Blue, can anyone post up some pics of the two?

petrol blue: almost the same as the pacifica blue but not as metallic. mainly on small turbos
imperial blue: much lighter blue, againa mainly on small turbos.
pacifica blue: the best colour IMO, and mainly on the first big turbo ones.

Cheers for the help guys, Pacifica Blue is the one I think i'd go for, Imperial Blue is too purple in some lights IMO and asEscort Cos says the Auralis Blue is small Turbo!
Its still hard to see a definate difference between Pacifica & Petrol tho!

Thanks m8, still a long way to go till it's awesome though. In my eyes that is.
Here's a picture of the data I received about a production run of the Esc Cos albeit in the small turbo variant. None of this data was available for the big turbo one. I do know however from the Karmann factory in Germany that 8082 cars left the assembly line from 1992 upto 1996.

the best way to describe the difference i think is that if you imagine that they are both the same base colour, but the pacifica has an extra bit of metallic fleck and laquer on top if it, if you pollish a petrol blue one to death you can get them to look the same in the dark, but pollish a pacifica blue one to death they go like blue glass , like speedys above and mine in my avatar

Mine is petrol blue!
In the sun it looks very dark turqouisey type thing!
But at nigth it is quite difficult to tell the pacifica and petrol blue apart!
The way i describe it is, its inbetween mallard green and pacifica blue! its kinda slap bang in the middle!

If you look closely, you'll see that the name change for each colour is done in August 1995. I've got no idea why to be totally honest.
