replacing standard cd unit?

guys i need to replace the standard cd unit as im sick of not being able to play my copied CDs, im more than happy to leave in the standard tap deck, so ive brought a pioneer cd unit, am i ok to use it with the tape deck or do i need to replace the top part to? how will i switch between the cd unit and the radio/tape unit?
anyhelp would be mint!!!

Dont think you can run the two together mate to be honest. Only way is ditch both and get a cd player then look out for a blankin plate or compartment from a sapphire sierra ghia or similar to nlank the hole left.

cant run both!!! nooooo!! are you sure? im possitve ive seen a pic where someone has the standard tape deck but put in an aftermarket cd player. i wouldnt mind if my standard ford unit could play copid CDs. unless im just using crap qaulity cds? does anyone elses play copied or do we all suffer this one?

1 HU it is then, where on earth do i get the blanking plate from, unless i just leave the stadard tape dec in just to keep the hole covered but just not in use if you no what i mean
