Hi Guys, does anyone know if it is possible to get g/knobs from ford still - only want a standard jobbie....

Also, what have you guys done about replacing the gaiter? - mine looks slightly worse for wear...

Id go for the one you posted as thats a proper ford part.

You can also get the proper new and genuine ford gearknobs off ebay too. Both types, push on and screw on.

the mr gaiter ones fit as he used my old facotry vynil fake leather one as a pattern - i have one of his as a freeby for the use of mine, ill post some pics up

I bought the first one and it fits fine. As for the gear knob i think you can get them from the Auto Specialists

I bought this one from Mr.gaitor as Kev has made a link to.. much cheaper than the original one, and fits very very well. Slightly tight when when going over the sleeve for reverse, then I gently cut it a little more open in the top and fitted the gaitor with absolutly NO probs.. looks SUPER. (Kev: it is leather.. yum)

gear knobs are still available from ford, but i could only get a push fit 1

it did not say wether it was screw of push fit on microcat

The Mr Gaitor one was a right load of crap, the gap at the top was no-where big enough, it ripped when I fitted it, only one place for it the bin!

It was here I gently cut the stiches, and after that NO problems . But yes.. it was not big enough when the postman came with it
