I've just fitted 6" into the original speaker mount using the autolads adapters. It is not a bad fit actually.

i have used Dietz adaptors for my 6.5" speakers, worked very well.

thanks all. With the autoleads adapters, do the speakers extend beyond the door cards or do they still fit underneath? Can you still use the standard grills? Any pics of the final install?

I have no pics but i have 6" autoleads adapters with focals and it uses the original door grilles.

They still fit under the door panel etc but they no longer sit central with the grille, it may not look too bad with dark coloured cones but my speakers have a grey cone and it looks hiddeous. I'm on the look out for a better adaptor than the autoleads one....

Is it 6" for the fronts,, and 6" for the rears.... as i want to replace my o.e one's!
