I was just putting my engine back together AGAIN. And while connecting the two very very small ring terminals to some 1.5" diameter cylindrical thing on the passenger side of the car right next/above the oil filter and one of the brass connectors came free....

Can anyone shine some light on this, its not broken off, just gone loose. How much are they, what is it? and will the car run with it like this?

it is one of the senders mate IIRC it is the oil pressure sender but not 100% sure

 

Aye for the oil pressure guage and oil pressure warning light, see what happens once you fire it up, as a side note, these can go on the wrong way round and the light/guage will go haywire, just swop them round if this is the case

 

Get ready for a shock if you need to buy a new 1 mate, iirc they're about £95 + vat from ford
