i read through the complete resto thread on that white mk1 fiesta on mk1-fiesta.co.uk today and its really come on sibce you first had it will be a cracker when its finished
Here's my 1.1 popular plus Escort,was standard biege when I bought it modded to Mexico look-a-like with 1.6 sport running gear. My first car if only I new then what I know now. Sold to buy my Capri in 1989

some of mine.the first is a -65 P5 taunus with 2,8 and modified type 9 5 speed gearbox ( to work with stock cluch assembly) and is a fun daily beater 



this is the other P5 a -67 with scorpio coswort front brakes and sierra rear on merc discs bmw M5 damper and springs up front helmjointed arms and big modified sierra swaybar and sierra power steering rear are stock axel on poly busshings and konis,2,8 with america 3 port heads and wild cam bigger stainless valves and alu timing gear,injection and electric ignition,4 step auto trans with lock up and modified turbine

my blue met coupe looked like that when i started that resto to, don't miss the welding hours on that 
now i'm doing a from the the floor full rebuild of a 15m taunus for a guy from norway,but that car is in much better shape and there's only 120 hours of weld on that

about your conv,can't you find a 2dr post and hack the top part of bodywork of that and replace the complete undercarrige of the conv with the one from the post car?? just add the needed extra bracing inside the rock panels and the rest of conv only extra supports??
i know of taunus conv ( wery rare) thats been restored that way
id rarther have a 2dr saloon than a convertable, i bought it cos it was there not because i was looking, i enquired about an Australian import 2dr, proper solid shell but it came up at the wrong time, not enough spare cash!

So yesterday I got some ambition and dug out a set of ARE mesh 7 X 15 wheels from an

How much lowering does it need??


I'm thinking 2"(50mm) in front, an 1"(25mm) in back. What says you lot??
