Clean looking Capri, always had a soft spot for them,my parents owned a mk1-2 & 3,remember picking up the the mk3 from the Ford dealer at Brentwood Essex,Laidlaw on Brook Street, was a 1982 Y plate 1.6 Caberet in red, sold it in 1997 with under 50k on the clock.

Sadly last sat I said goodbye to my capri, after being paid off the other week, I could no longer afford to run it. I got the right offer at the right time and had to take it

Last polish.

Pics just before the run to the new owner.

At its new home.

I then had a hunt so find a replacement car, after a few dissapoinments I finally found this at the Bridge of Allan show last sunday...

I took it for a test drive right after the show, it got a years mot the following day then I picked it up

Tucked up in its new home

At knockhill earlier today

Im missing the capri like mad, but the cortinas still good fun. I dont think I could do a 'normal' car for a daily lol x

Nice capri, Ive only just got mine into the daylight again after a year in storage. Now fitted with a 24V cosworth engine to living things up for the summer just a few teething issues and it will be my daily drive for the summer atleast.

Theres somthing about that cortina aswell, i think i would have bought it aswell having had half a chance !!

imfrom edinburgh, ive had a few capri's over the yeras, great cars, often thought about getting another special, but not many good ones about, great to see you keeping the legend alive,
i was in capri club as well, still got an old t-shirt somewhere, got my first in 1980 mk1 yellow then green mk2 then 2.0 sport in white then 2.8 with rs body kit metallic grey then black 2.8 special, always hankered after a brooklands but the presses were on their last legs then and the panels were rippled on some so i didnt bother, again will look out for you going about,

rewrite. as i was writing this a whole lot of posts appeared!! and i read you aint got the car anymore!!!!! i really must type faster you sold it in the time it took to type a message,,good luck with cortina, another good car
cheers
john
