Default Vauxhall Engine into an old ford?

In the past I have restored plenty of mk1 escorts. Am now thinking of a mk1 cortina.

I would prefer to build a lotus rep c/w lotus engine. They do however go for big money.

I was thinking about using a vauxhall tohc 16v engine. I know alot of the escort boys do this. I would go down the twin weber norm aspirated route.

Does anyone have any links on using this engine in an old ford or even better a mk1 cortina.

Cheers

You can buy a bellhousing for a couple of hundred quid that fits an XE engine to a Type 9 ford box.
