stage 3 muppet

just wondering if anyone had any ideas were to get hold of a pair of rear quarters for a 2dr essy
does anyone produce pattern quarters and if so who????
new to the mk2s as i have just got a very tidy 4dr mk2 and am going to convert it to 2 dr hence needing the quarters
any help in locating a set would be great cheers
once i have the quarters im going to start a thread and show my progress for all to see

i must at mit, this is a big job as i thought i my self before, and when you realy think wot you need to do, at the end of it all it be more easy to try and get a 2door , as you need all the inners of the qtrs and a 2door roof!
door etc, it going to cost a lot of dosh unless you got a doner 2door.
plus if you ever sell it, someone is think its tag'ed up as a 2door, it may be a problem to sell if you did.. the way you should look at it more doors are becoming a wanted car, so you best off leaveing as it is..

why do you want a 2 door so bad? the only difference is the prices, and even the rally lads are starting to realise that 4 doors are just as strong if not stronger, dont ruin a good for door to make a 2 door, jus go out and buy a 2 door and restore it, probs easier than converting to a 2 door imo,

what looks shit?? lol, a 4 door? they look nice enough to me, , but i jus cant see the point in changing to a 2 door, the work and man hours involved would surely make it worth while just buying an "original" 2 door and restoring that??

any one who own a mk1-2-3-4 etc any ford, it can be done it will always look rite, its when you start fitting these jap crap body kits on old ford or crap touring car boot spoilers from halfords...

truth i realy fancy one, never had a more door before, just 2doors..
but if you are saying side by side and only can pick one, then yes it be a 2door, but 98% of people who like mk2 may do that..
but it dont mean the more door looks shit...
i mean the more door looks crap with a nose-cone on like the ozzy ones..
but you can make a more door look nice but only the retro look..
iam not a fan for big arches, as i like the stock look..
as ive had shit loads of people say to me you should big arche the mk2..
but no way, my mk2 is a mint shell no need for it, i would only do it if i needed to as if they were totaly fu*k't..

Hi all, I wanted to do it for a competition car to be honest, you are not allowed to run a more door escort in historic stage rallying as it was never homolagated!! I have plenty of time to do the job and fancy a go at it unless any one fancys a swap with a 2dr that needs more work than mine.I just know that if I put alot of time and effort into a 4dr I will still always look at it and wish it was a 2dr.cheers

Thanks I will not be starting it untill the spring so sure I will make my mind up by then. I have seen a gp4 spec 4 dr on the tour of mull rally and it looked realy good, shame it is not allowed in historic rallying )-:

hi this is just my thoughts 4 doors are shit tho's who say" my more door is great" bollox you want a two door if you had the choice what would you have? a two door but i understand two doors cost more so start saving. a 4 door will never be as good. as for turning a 4 into a 2 door i have thought about this and spoke to a local bodyshop they said its possible but not cost afective by the time you got all the pannels the labour costs would be sky high unless you did yourself but if you got the dollar to do this best off buying a 2 door imo
