MY computer is total shit All i want it to do is play some music and it doesnt want to do that for some reason. CAn anyone shed some light on it? The sound isnt muted etc in pannel. its not even play the windows noise when it starts up! Please help

Right now got sounds through Windows media but non through i tunes

What? It doesnt last time i switched it on it played music. Switched it of as usual. Turn it back on go to play it and it doesnt work Done nothing unusal than i have done for the last couple of months when i use this thing

 

Do your speakers have power? Did you turn the mains off for the speakers? In iTunes options, check the sound enhancer and crossfade plyback. Maybe these have changed, try changing the options for them and you might get sound.

Sounds daft, but look and see if the volume slider at the top is not all the way to the left, as this means you'll get no sound either

 

lol sounds all the way up etc! Its strange i just dont understand it. Something is up as when i turn the computer on it no longer makes the window start up noise etc Something very weird is going on think i got computer costs. Trouble is i cant live with out my music as i search

Yeah get sound from media play and TV thingy i got. I got Soundblaster 5.1 card. I disconnected it and reconnected it because i got no sound before. But now i get it playing in media play and on Aver TV.

 

theres new drivers out i think for that one

i updated mine on tuesday

Weird though, must be an iTunes cock up. I'd reinstall it first to see if that helps.

 

IF i reinstall it i suppose i will lose all my music library etc? Oh well give me somthing to do on a Sunday

LOL, ok smarty pants. If his drivers were shite, why would he get sound out of media player and his TV card software, but not from an APPLICATION. Surely, the first thing would be the app itself.

Not taking offence, just engaging in friendly banter. Honestly mate, I do this for a living, and it could be either suggestion. Thats the thing with things like this, you never know, and 9 times out of 10, its something simple anyways. Just the 1 time turns out to be a bastid and I'm betting Rhys got that one time
