Converting coilovers to run reservoirs
Can it be done????
Thinking of getting my fronts converted to make the front end better being as its FWD....
Or would it be better to buy them

No offence mate - so please dont take it the wrong way, would you know the difference between a right and wrong setting ?
The more options you give people to play with settings the more chance they will mess things up.
By all means move onwards and upwards in a few years time when you have masses of experience and can out handle what you have, but just following these type of people now can be dangerous.
Hope you understand - its in NO WAY a dig

But Danny / Brom / You / Me or anyone else would set it up to how we would see fit, and that might not suit Rad's style of driving.
The only person who can tell you for deffinate if its right or wrong is you .... your own style.... your own confidence... your own experience etc.
Other people only have an input on what they think YOU want.

but as tony is saying,, damping settings can only be set-up in the environment the car is going too be used in,,, once taken away from this enviroment the car could be dangerous! this is why it is so hard to set-up a road car which is good on the track
did anyone come too the same conclusion as me when watching that viper crash on the gumball (same year as lees crash)?
too much rebound damping, and the car jacked down over the dumps

The only slight problem with that Rad, is that optimum in one circumstance isnt optimum in another, so even if you got it setup properly it wouldnt be perfect for all conditions, so unless you then can get it adjusted each time you are using the car to match the conditions, you arent any better off than on a basic setup really.
rad:dont get me wrong, but seriously, theres buying for need, then buying for name! do you NEED external reservoi damping?or does it just sound cool?for a track car id say you only need inernal reservoirs especially on your budget(NOT a diss, but you dont earn massive amounts and want to go out on the piss occasionally!) so id say internal will be fine, like internal wategates, etc etc.....dont just go for the latest fad!

it had nothing to do with the suspension or damping it's was a driving error

If it was a 'fad' i'd have asked about buying the whole set
Like my cage thats going in on the 11th.. Its in for the reason the cars being used.....
Its not just a 'cage'
furry muff, buy what you need to make it what you want, unlike the jap guys i come across who fit external wastegates, etc etc because theyve heard its good so they use it even though they dont need to!

it's just that i thought that was Gaz was on about your suspension of your car and because i have been out in it loads of time i know it handles verywell so thats maybe why i thought it might have been driving error

PMSL
Utterly impossible to mention his crash without insluting him one way or the other really, if you say it was the car not setup right then thats insulting how he builds cars, if you say it was his driving then thats insulting too.
In the unlikely event i ever get put on the spot by martin asking why it happened, im going to say i think it was a lightening strike i think
