They are NOT magnesium for a start!

But In good condition with tyres they are worth as much as Ł600 I reckon.

No, lots of companys make alloy wheels with some magnesium in them. Actual magnesium wheels would be stupidly impractical on the road. They just wouldn't last...

Porkie,

but the wheels with the mag content , are generally called "mags" for a reason !!

ive got a couple of sets and tbh , even though there very very light and you can feel the diff on the steering when on the front , there a pain in the arse , cause as they get older and older they become porous and keep going down , then they go out of shape , so , they have to be cheap and tested before ya buy old mag wheels !!

used to have a set of black 8 x 17 ears wheels , werent mag tho !! good wheels !!

now come on surely i dont have to quantify how much magnesuim ?

if you have held a std alloy then a mag in either hand , its like haveing a fookin lead weight in one !!

and in fact , the quantity of Mg in the STD alloy wheels is so small infact its not worth having SO NO BLING FOOKIN BLING my son in compo mo's etc etc

if youve ever had the misfortune to destroy and allo wheel all you get is a mangles mess of alloy , with magnesuims , you get a massive fook off spark and a load of broken bits

rs nuts

Depends if they are early or late ones. The early ones were prone to cracking down at the bottom join between the spoke and the rim. They had a re-design pretty sharpish once it became a common problem.
