as you mounting the engine the other way about in the
shonker, means the cut out in the sump wont matter anyway?? Oooor does it matter stil?

yeah it does, see on the 1.8 the cut-out for the zorst is gearbox side, where as on the 2.0l its cam belt side, and i got an engine cross member in the way so a 2.0l one it is (gonna be cut and shut anyway)

i think you might have it the wrong way round fudge ,
i have a 2 litre z tec and the sump is on the gear box side , i understud it that it was the 1.8 that had the sump on the cam belt side ???
hope so is i've just bought an 1.8 sump for a zvh conversion .
so i have a 2 litre sump if it's still needed , just want to wait till mine come's

 

this is a 1.6/1.8 sump



only pic i got and its a bit crap, but you see where the exhaust goes, that on the gearbox side, i want the 2.0l one where its the other way round, zorst goes cam belt end.

its to go in a RWD application, so need the higer bit at the front of the engine (cam belt end) and the deeper sump bit by the gearbox
