Am i right sayin you CANT get 140mph out a RST with the standard gearbox?

And also the speedo aint 100% right aint it?

Also 19psi with a std intercooler No chance? without a BANG

Need to clear them up as some guy on other forum thinks his RST is a rocket

Standard RST box/Rev Limit on 195/50/15's will top out at 145-148mph maximum people have said that they have run 20psi on a standard intercooler but thats not something i would want to do and no the speedo aint 100% right.

 

140mph? think it would struggle, no ford speedo is accurate lol and 19psi on a standered turbo & intercooler will end in tears does this help?

 

No chance of running 19psi on std intercooler IMO

 

you can run 19psi on a standard interwarmer but the ACT's would be immense and not very good for the engine!
140 mph is possible with the standard box and NO speedo is 100% accurate,even on new cars!!

speedo's always over-read a bit, as a "safety margin" can be up to 10% but more often than not it's less.

If on 15s with the speedo showing 140mph you're lucky to be doing 120 tbh...

19psi would pretty much melt a standard IC lol

 

thing is alot of companies will happily turn ur boost up to 16psi on a standard intercooler and only recommend u et an uprated intercooler

 

IMO 13psi is the maximum on a standard Intercooler.

148mph is the fastest an RST will go on standard gearing/rev limit. But to make it do it, will need over 200bhp IMO and that cannot be achieved on a standard Intercooler.
