okies, yet another problem for you guys to try and decipher.

When i am setting off in low gears (1st and 2nd) it kinda has the feeling that the acc cable is getting a bit stiff. Lets just say I am rolling in 1st at appx 1.5k. If i gently press on it, it jerks a little before picking up.

Now, I know its not plugs and leads, they are fine. Could it just be the carb is full of shit and needs a good clearout??

Its got a K&N filter and twin choke webber on it.


I have a can of that spary carb cleaner at home, do I attempt it??? or just get a new acc cable??


Or both???

 

Could be the carb matey, my mk5 shitter run about does it, it's a 1400 CVH carb

 

timing/fueling not set up correctly?

 

Try letting the car tick over then rev it with the pedal see if it hesitates, then do the same using the link on the side of the carb, should proove if it's the carb or the cable.

What carb is it?
