Default Q about driveshafts

are they unsprung weight?
what would the advantage be of ones weighing 2kg over std ones at 10kg?
i know they would take less torque to spin them but would they improve handling? or anything else?

and does any1 know where you can get driveshafts made? (not std ones)???

In an F1 type application where every split second counts yes Im sure theres a handling gain! In ANY road car its a pointless exercise, and drivshafts should only be changed if the original is'nt up to the job.

If we're talking std cosworth solid shafts, they can with stand in excess of 800bhp! Shame the rest of the transmission cant!
