What have people done about the area where the sound deadening deteriotes behind the turbo, always pisses me off to look at

 

i replaced mine with some silver heatproof material,made up a template from the old bits,was a fiddly job though

 

Was it self adhesive or what did you stick it on with?

 

just removed the orig round star washer and refitted it!

 

Can you do me a favour and show me a pic please

Just checked mine and theres nothing wrong with it All my other cossies were like the pic above

 

It seems to deteriorate if you prod it with fingers ,so dont go touching if it looks all nice as it will start to fall apart

 

I might just get the black marker pen out on it

 

i just took that little visible part of. The paint is mint behind, so doesnt look out of place kind of thing.
ill get a pic up today or 2mora.

 

only prob with removing it is you then have no heat or sound proofing to that part of the b/head,the reason it crumbles is because of the heat from the exhaust which breaks it down over the yrs,then when you touch it it falls apart
