Ive just rebuilt my yb, and took it out on the road for the first time yesterday, no probs at all. Cold started it this morning and at idle was fine, when i reved it slightly it burst the non genuine oil fiter, i tried another one and it did the same. I tried one more and this time let it idle untill it warmed up, when i reved it hot its fine.
The engine is fitted eith a cosworth high flow oil pump, the oil is 10w 40.
Is the problem to thick oil for high flow? poor quality oil filters? or a faulty pump? HELP!!!!!!

Cheers mate. engine out again, after spending a year building it and making it perfect, sometimes i wonder why i bother, when it burst the filter it was just like someone pouring 4 litres of hot oil all over the engine bay, nice.
Sorry to here that mate, i to just rebuilt my engine and im no mechanic ( very far from it ) and it was a long haul, if that happened to me i would have burst into flames, at least you found out sooner rather than later, good luck
